Hello!
I have acquired a carrob tree from a nursery about 1,20m high. It was planted into a plastic black bag and the soil was compact clay mud. So, I had to transplant the tree before Spring. I have washed out the roots spraying water under the tap but a mass of the clay mud is left among the roots. I repoted the tree in a substrate of pumice, baked argile (used in hydroponics), river sand and peat. I have also cut of the upper part of the tree and now height is about 60cm. I watered with a root hormone solution and I hope and pray it will make it.... Will you please kindly give me some general information about the carrob tree? Thank you very much. PS: I hope that English will not be a problem for you.... and I do hope that I have posted to the right forum. If not please feel free to move my post. Thank you very much, Andrea!
I am already trying to translate the instructions... But, do you really think that this urgent repotting and the disturbance of the roots will probably kill the carrob tree? Speak frankly, don't be afraid! I can bear this! ![]()

Here again!
![]() Does anyone have experience of Autumn repotting a carrob tree? Is there anything I can do to further help the tree? The weather is rainy and humidity is at high levels but I mist the tree once or twice daily. Should I continue to do so or not? Thank you in advance.

Consiglio a tutti quelli che hanno l'inglese arrugginito come il mio di usare lo strumento gratuito "Google Traduttore", se Andrea me lo permette metto il link, così tutti possono seguire anche questi thread e avere un supporto per partecipare. ![]() Council to all those who have English as my rusty to use the free tool "Google Translate" Andrea, if I may put the link so everyone can follow these threads and also have support to participate. ![]() Ps: da solo non ce la potevo certo fare.... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I agree with Andrea about Google translator.
There are a lot of errors made. The quality of translations is very low.... Thank you anyway!
