Before-after on triple trunk Arakawa maple

Today I'm showing you the work I did in the last few days on this Arakawa maple.
This is a very interesting triple trunk (sankan), which required significant work after a season spent growing freely (imported last year).
The following photos show the tree from various sides before the work to demonstrate the excellent vigour it has acquired.

As you can see, the tree has produced abundant branches, especially in the lower part where I wanted greater vigour.
I took care to space out the trunks and branches that needed it, then I proceeded with the construction pruning (I pruned one of the three trunks more strongly as it was necessary in the project), performing several grafts and wiring/setting.
I purposely kept the long branches (shoots) on the first branch of the father trunk in order to make it thicken.
This is the front of the tree at the end of the work (from this angle the tree gains significantly in nebari and movement of the trunks):

Below is an overview of the tree from various sides:

The tree will soon be available on our online shop:

Now in spring it will be repotted with bare root intervention and strong pruning on the roots to develop the nebari correctly over the years.
Will use a slightly larger glazed pot at this stage but still not very tall.
As always if you have any questions please feel free to ask. See you next time!
