Yamamomiji triple trunk: before-after

Greetings to you all, today I am documenting the work carried out in the last days on a triple-trunk style yamamomiji maple.
I imported this tree a few years ago, so as soon as it arrived I proceeded to repot it with bare roots, performing the necessary major interventions on the roots together with the complete change of soil, these operations are fundamental for a correct development and to give the tree a good vigor necessary for its construction. Obviously a larger pot was also used than the previous one.

The photos above show the tree one year after repotting.
During the first pruning I deliberately let the lower branches that needed to become thicker grow freely.

The photos above show the tree after a further year of growth (front on the left and back on the right) or rather the current situation before the work, you can see the thickening of the branches and how the tree now has good vigour, a fundamental prerogative for being able to work on the structure of the trunk and primary branches.
I find it very interesting and educational to see how a tree is prepared for its construction/processing.
It is also useful to use pieces of bamboo or wood to space out or move the branches/trunks that need it, without having to wire them with very large diameters of wire.
Several grafts have also been performed for various purposes, it is important to keep in mind that the work is always aimed at the best development of the tree and not just for immediate aesthetic purposes.
